That which matters, or not

My friend Scott, the director of such films as Secret Identity Crisis and Starship Exeter, thinks I should post the new Bond flick as the movie of the week over at PDXMOTW. Does anyone else have an opinion? Should I restart PDXMOTW, or should I just let it fade quietly into that good night?

Tour de Spaghetti

Last night, Tim and I decided to walk over to The Old Spaghetti Factory from our home. It seemed like a simple enough task. It's by the river. We're by the river. We can see the blue lights that surround TOSF from the curb. It seemed simple enough.
I think it is only about 500 [...]

Up

Right on the heels of sucky Dreamworks movies, I get an invite to watch this preview.
I'm glad Pixar exists. Even Pixar movies that don't live up to my Pixar-based expectations (Wall•e anyone?) are way better than most other moves.

Move it move it

I was completely under-impressed by Madagascar 2. Sad, slow, stupid, infantile, dumb, boring.
I keep hoping Dreamworks will bring a movie out that is as good as the stuff from Pixar. But it just hasn't happened yet. Maybe the next one will do the trick.

ten steps forward, nine steps back

Today, amid all the celebrating over the choice of America's new president, comes news of bigotry and evil doers working in the name of God once again.
In California, Prop 8 passed, removing the recently granted right to marry from Gay folk. Again, the "Christian" "right" has defended it's marriage rights by saying we can't [...]

YES!

One minute after the polls on the west coast closed, it was decided.

Happy Obama Day

I'm hoping that someone responsible wins the presidential election today.
I'm hoping that whoever wins will put an end to the war in Iraq.
I'm hoping that the new president will stop torturing people. Torture is wrong. I pray we will begin respecting the Geneva convention like we did in the past so that America [...]

No Space Aliens for 100s of Light Years

Stephen Hawking says there are probably not any space aliens for hundreds of lightyears in his TED talk. He says if they were out there, we'd be picking up radio frequency noise like their sit coms and stuff. It's fascinating. at around the 9 minute talk, you get a rare glimpse of how [...]
