Contracts and Old Jobs

Last night I had one of those dreams where I was back at my old job after a years-long hiatus. Usually those are about working at the theatre and I find I have to get something ready for a visit from the district manager, but is one was a more recent previous job.

I dreamed I was in a cubicle environment, working on classes, when something popped up for an HP contract. So I had to run down the hall and figure out how to log on to HP's network in order to apply for the job.

Odd.

I usually equate the dreams about the theatre with a sense of relief, thinking about how I don't do that any more. I woke up with a similar feeling about the HP gig.

Interesting. What do you think it means?

i think it means you secretly long to finally make the switch from iProducts to Microsoft so you can have a nine terabyte watercooled CPU.
Or… you know… maybe you just had some bad chinese.

The cubical could represent a box that you feel you are in and the HP opportunity could represent a way out. Even though the way out may seem like an uncomfortable step backward. And this dream has absolutely NOTHING to do with me.
