Not me, no way, never in a million years

disembodiedhead Not me, no way, never in a million yearsIt occurs to me that there are some things I would never do. I will not murder someone. I won't do recreational drugs. etc. etc. I'm sure you could come up with some absolute things you would never do if you think about it for half a second. Those are not what this post is about.

There are things I've always been curious about, but don't have the nerve to do. Like being buried in the sand on the beach. I'm not claustrophobic, most of the time, and I do trust my friends (well, some of you, anyway). But the idea of being buried up to my neck on the beach, while intriguing, scares the bejesus out of me (would that be Bejesus, beJesus or bejesus?). I just couldn't do it. I would expect that i would die from heart failure. I just can't let go to be buried in the sand.

I also don't think I could ever convince myself to walk barefoot across hot coals. I know the physics of it all. I know how it works and that it's possible, but I just don't think it's anything I would do. It's a little over the top for me I think (altho there was a great scene in The Promotion where the team building exercise of firewalking goes horribly horribly wrong).

Skydiving, Bungee Jumping, Cliff Diving, couldn't do any of them. Just ask WWP how white I turned at the Sky Bridge in the Grand Canyon.

What kind of simple things can you think of that you would never do?

For me, I think it would be skiing. It's not a fear, though, just not something I want to do. I've lived in Colorado for over 10 years now and have never been skiing. I would much rather park my butt in a hot tub and watch the snow fall all around.

On the other side of that coin, there should be a list of things that you have never done but should give it a try. Have you ever had a pedicure?

I would never, EVER be a teenager again. I was terrible at it the first time, and I'm lucky to have survived.

The bungee jumping, et al? is on my 'no, really…you go first, sweetie" list.
I can see the fun in it, but I'm kinda busy right now, maybe next year.

I've learned not to blindly eat dishes in other countries. Some things dont taste just like chicken
