Today I made my first Crockpot Pot Roast in about two years. It was most excellent. I think I got the spices exactly perfect. The carrots and potatoes were tasty, and the meat so tender and moist.
Niko and Martin came up for dinner and it was a very relaxing and laid back four hour dinner.
The cobbler didn't come out so good though. The goo around the apples took me right back to my childhood, that part was just cinnamon-ey and sugar-ey perfection. The dough was too buttery though. And I put too much water in it so it overflowed and dripped in the stove. So now I'm going to have to put it through a clean cycle.
Along with the dinner we had a delicious salad and steamed broccoli.
I think I could learn to enjoy this whole cooking thing with a little more practice.
