As I was scrolling though Party Shuffle this morning, making sure iTunes really was going to play some stuff I was more or less in the mood for, a strange link caught my eye. I saw an image of TJ's album triMIX go by.
He'll yell at me if I get this wrong, but triMIX is a compilation of sound artists that TJ put together a couple of years ago, and it's been available at the iTunes Store for several months.
He'll be screaming even more when he sees that the image on my iMac for triMIX has attached itself to the soundtrack of The Matrix.
It's not something that I did. I'm sure of it. I've never purchased triMIX or The Matrix from iTunes. I ripped The Matrix from my cd that I purchased the day the first (and only true) Matrix movie came out.
What I have done is run that thing where I let iTunes go out and get the album cover for songs in my iTunes library. It's usually right, but for some reason it screwed up on this one.
I think it's kind of funny. I'm going to leave it (at least until TJ gets back from his residency and makes me change it). It also gives me an excuse to post a link to triMIX so you can go preview it and buy a copy from the iTunes Store.

amaroK attached all my tagless mp3 files to the album cover for the Juno soundtrack. I thought it was some sort of social commentary.
Actually, I like the potential that people "might" buy it thinking it's "The Matrix" - but that's probably not the proper thread. Well, I can say it does make fine cover art. I was doing some massive iTunes clean up the other day here, and noticed some very weird things like that. Not sure why its so bad and random. I hope someone out there might continue purchasing the disc. It's a good one. xo
