In between being woken ever few minutes last night, I had some wild dreams. Here's how a couple of them went:
Dream #1:
I went to the Warner Bros. Studios to meet with a certain actor – you'd know who it was if I said, so I'm not going to use his name here (I don't want google to return this entry when folks go looking for him). Let's just say he plays the young version of a superhero who lives in Kansas on TV… there, know who he is now?
Anyway, I went to his studio to meet with him and discuss working on a future project. The future project was very nebulous, and nobody seemed to know what it is yet. The office where we met was kind of like a doctor's examination room (no "playing doctor" jokes, please, it wasn't that type of dream). Of course we hit it off immediately and became fast friends. It was my dream after all.
We were discussing the mythology/legend of the superhero character that he plays for a couple of minutes, referring to the movies from the late 70s and the newer movie from a year ago. I told him I agreed with something he said once about a lunchbox, and suddenly he had to leave.
As he walked out the back door, his mom walked in the front door. I called something like "I look forward to working with you" after him as he left, and his mother was all too interested in exactly what that meant. His agent intercepted her questions to me and downplayed it considerably. Very odd.
I went out the front door of the office, down the steps and got into my car. As I drove away, I saw him again under a big white tent in the back parking lot.
So, what do you think it means?
Dream #2:
I was at my moms when she decided she needed a few gallons of paint. So I hopped on my bicycle and rode it to the paint store. On the way I had to stop at the red light to cross Campbell Road. Just when the light changed to green, an old lady (the sea hag from popeye?) had to get out of my car but she couldn't quite stand on her own feet. Yes, I know I was on my bike, and she was getting out of my car, again, it was a dream.
When I got across the road, I had to back peddle a bit and explain to all the other people who had been waiting at the light that the woman was uninvited into my car and that I didn't have the parking break brake on. They all understood.
So I turned and went another half block to the paint store. when I got there, I was amazed to see the inside looked just like the inside of the gas station on the corner. And there was no one there to help me pick paint.
What does that one mean?

You break a mirror. Your car has a parking brake.
Your friendly neighborhood (sort of) English teacher
I knew I could get you to post a comment! (he said, all the while pretending he used the improper grammar on purpose)
The dreams obviously mean the actor makes you feel like a sea hag.
weren't you paying attention? I said the hand brake was on.
hahahaha. Thanks for that.
Yeah, makes me think of my high school yearbook when SOMEONE spelled every word wrong!!!
I'm innocent, I tell you.
Never believe someone who says he's innocent…
