…oh, not much. I just kind of hung out. I drove around a bit. up and down the gorge. I went to the Troutdale humane society and saw the cutest little doggie. Now I want to go back and get him.
I also went to my new favorite restaurant in Portland. Only it's not in Portland. It's in Troutdale. Of course, it's not really in Troutdale either, it's more on the road between Troutdale and Corbett. But it's close to Troutdale. I pigged out so much. It was so tasty. I am definitely going back. Yummm.
It's called "Tad's Chicken And Dumplings". Guess what I ordered…
As invader zim would have said "it's delicious!" The chicken was perfect, the dumplings were as big as my head, and the green beans were amazing. The fried mushrooms were almost tempura style. The salad was the right size and fresh, and the appetizers on the table included fresh veggies (carrots, cukes, celery, broccoli, and squash among others) and ranch dressing. Most Tasty. And the dining room had a view of the river that runs thru Troutdale – not the Columbia, the other one – so it was very relaxing.
Between dinner at Tad's and the hot chocolate at Multnomah Falls (served up by a hottie I might add), I think today was very relaxing. I wandered around a bit at the falls, and I spent some time driving around the "back country."
It almost reminded me of home. And then I went to dinner at Tad's and was instantly teleported to my supreme comfort zone, not unlike the food critic in Ratatouille.
All in all, it was very relaxing. I recommend it.
