Borrowing words from Melllvar when Checkov asked how you could possibly turn a rap song into a spoken word piece, all I can say with an intense amount of reverence: He found a way.
This makes the second post in a row to mention iTunes. Steve Jobs found a way to make us need the same thing we already have. In this case it's the music I'm listening to. He found a way to make me pay more money for my iTunes tracks.
The really sad part is that it's a good way, and I'm likely to do it today or tomorrow when iTunes catches up with the demand of all the other people who are upgrading their collections.
So by doubling the bit rate (!) for better quality sound, and by removing the DRM (!!!), EMI and iTunes have actually offered me a way I can pay more money and actually be happy about it.
Sigh.
Yes, indeedy. He found a way.
