CNN says: New Jersey court recognizes right to same-sex unions
New Jersey's Supreme Court opened the door to gay marriage Wednesday, ruling that homosexuals are entitled to the same rights as heterosexuals, but leaving it to lawmakers to legalize same-sex unions.
Funny how the rights of minorities ALWAYS come through the judicial branch of our government.

It just takes time an perseverence. There'll be the usual backlash, and more states scrambling to amend their constitutions (there's even such an amendment on the ballot here in Colorado).
I find it amusing that proponents of these amendments actually think that amending a states constitution is permenant. Haven't they ever heard of a repeal?
It's always refreshing to see good news out there for a change. And while there's only 47 more states to go, only 23 more will be a majority.
