The only point I can think of in Revelations that makes any sense is the human nature part about how when the anti-christ does show up, he'll be popular and loved, even tho he does evil things. I don't believe that the book of Revelations is a prediction of things to come, but I do believe it was written with some insight about how we are as humans. And when we are doing things like pre-emptive military strikes killing tens of thousands of them and thousands of us; walking away from treaties with other countries that have been signed by former presidents and ratified by the elected Congress; using doublespeak in what we say and what we do (can you say "no child left behind" boys and girls?); or fag bashing and condemning our neighbors while we call ourselves "Christian" – I could go on with hundreds more examples – it just seems to me that we are in a really scary place right now.
I found this terrorism alert thing on the internet that shows the various levels of terror with iconic figures in addition to the color threats. I'm amazed that we're only set at "vader" right now.
