Recently I've applied for a part time job with a local organization. I don't want to say much about it because the process is still ongoing.
I do want to say, though, that I find it interesting that everyone has advice on how to get the job.
The reason I applied is because I think I'm a good fit for it. I think my personality would sync up well with the requirements of the job. The expert advice is especially interesting to me because if I use other people's words in the interview then it's not my personality coming through, rather it's theirs.
I do appreciate the advice. if you are one of the people who have provided said comments, then I thank you. It has given me some extra angles to think about through the whole process.
Still, I have filed 99% of the comments away in my head because I want to pass the interviews on my own. I want them to hire me because I'm a good fit, not because I can reiterate what everyone else thinks I should say.
