I'm not sure why, but this article at CNN feels important. It certainly is a ray of hope amongst so much anti-Gay rhetoric. I'm sure it won't be long before the judges are re-labeled "activist", but maybe that's what the country needs. Maybe we need for more people to get involved and become activists.

One thing that the right-wingers are really, really got at is calling people names. Affixing some kind of label to people or persons who don't agree with them is typical. They are masters of the sound bite. The challenge here is to get them to *define* these terms. What does "mandate" mean? How about "mainstream" or "elite" or "flip flopper" or "activist"?
I have a dictionary and know what the terms mean, but they spout these terms like they have some kind of special knowledge for a different definition.
Why do we let them do this? Why?
