I'm completely over the election. I voted already. Telemarketers stop calling me.

I am averaging 10 calls per day/evening now from recordings that want me to vote for someone or buy something.

In fact, in the time that I opened this blog window, and typed the two sentences above, I just got another one. That's two in the past 5 minutes.

It's bad enough that I get the calls at all, but the callers don't even have the decency to personally make the call anymore. They are allowing their robots to do it for them.

I think we need a grass roots campaign to make recorded announcements via telephones illegal. When I get the call, I can't even ask to be taken off the list. When it's a human, I always ask, politely even, until they argue with me.

I think telemarketers are the third lowest form of life on the planet, just above the republican and democrat politicians, and just below spammers and pornographers.
